Top-Down/Bottom-Up
Bedroom Shade
Cellular shades, also called honeycomb shades, are made from pleated fabric bonded into rows of hexagon-shaped cells. Those cells trap a layer of air at the window, which slows heat moving through the glass. That makes them one of the most energy-efficient window coverings you can put in a Houston home, and the soft fabric looks clean in any room.
The air pockets inside each cell act as a buffer at the glass, helping keep summer heat out and cooled air in, which can ease the load on your AC.
Cordless lift systems raise and lower with a gentle push. No dangling cords or loops, which makes them a safer choice for homes with young children and pets.
Top-down/bottom-up shades lower from the top to let daylight in while the bottom stays closed for privacy, a smart fit for street-facing bedrooms and bathrooms.
Cellular fabric is softer than a roller shade, so it is not the best choice for spots that get splashed every day, and the cells can collect dust over time. Blackout cellular shades block most light, but a thin line of light can show at the edges with an inside mount.
Customization
Cell size and fabric opacity determine how much light enters the room and how well the shade insulates. We bring samples to your home estimate.
Choose the lift system that fits each room. Many homeowners go cordless in living areas and top-down/bottom-up in bedrooms and bathrooms. For tall or hard-to-reach windows, see our motorized shades.

Light Dusting
Spot Clean
Houston summers push heat through the glass all day, and the windows that get the most sun are often the hardest rooms to keep comfortable. Cellular shades add an insulating layer right at the window, so rooms stay cooler and your AC works less. We install them across Friendswood, Pearland, League City, Clear Lake, and the Greater Houston area, and every shade is measured and installed by owner Kim Van Wieren. Still deciding?
